One of the most frustrating things about these elections, is the absolute denial by people (who are pro Secretary Clinton) of what is going on in them.  We have had massive rigging and manipulation, electioneering by a former President who happens to be married to one of the candidates, voter disenfranchisement, the disappearance of votes, unwonted changes in voter registration, the changing of votes cast by machine programming, unbelievably long voting lines, the unexplained failure of candidate Sanders to appear in ballots in certain areas, the lack of enough ballots by noon in certain other areas, and other disasters which make the entire process suspect.

Whatever candidate you will vote for ultimately, THIS IS NOT the way to run a presidential election, and it SHAMES this country and all the people who died to guarantee that we could all vote, or the people such as my paternal grandmother, Inés María  Merino de Brandon, who campaigned and protested for the rights of women to vote.

Una de las cosas más frustrantes sobre estas elecciones es la negación absoluta por personas (a favor de la Secretaria Clinton) de lo que está ocurriendo en las mismas.  Hemos tenido una racha de manipulaciones y fraude masivo, prácticas electoralistas por un presidente anterior que de casualidad es el marido de una de las candidatas, la pérdida del derecho al voto de muchos votantes, la desaparición de votos, cambios inexplicables en las inscripciones de los votantes, el cambio de los votos donde se han utilizado máquinas programadas, líneas larguísimas para poder votar, la falta inexplicable del nombre del candidato Sanders en las papeletas de votación en algunas áreas, la falta de suficientes papeletas de votación a veces al mediodía y otros desastres que hacen que el proceso entero sea algo sospechoso.

Independientemente del candidato o candidata por el que usted vote en un final, ESTA NO ES la manera de celebrar una elecciones presidenciales, y nos AVERGUENZA como país, y se burla de las personas que dieron sus vidas para que todos pudiéramos votar, o las personas como mi abuela paterna, Inés María  Merino de Brandon, que protestó y se manifestó por el derecho al voto de la mujer.

I have been studying Hillary Clinton for more than two decades. I was born in Cuba and am a peace and social justice activist for more years than I care to remember. I practiced law for 28 years, speak four languages, am a retired college professor and writer, and regularly get arrested for causes of peace and social justice, including immigration, nuclear weaponry, and war. I am getting ready to publish a book about the secretary, and why she is such a terrible choice for president. The negative things, as you Hillary supporters call them, are Hillary’s history, and it is sad that the country is being bamboozled by big money and by a very corrupt electoral system, of which the Democrats and Republicans are but two sides of the same coin.  

Llevo más de dos décadas estudiando a Hillary Clinton.  Nací en Cuba y soy activista por la paz y la justicia social desde hace más años de los que puedo recordar.  Ejercí el derecho durante 28 años, hablo cuatro idiomas, soy profesora universitaria jubilada y escritora, y a menudo me arrestan por causas de la paz y la justicia social, incluyendo el tema de la inmigración, las armas nucleares y la guerra.  Pronto pienso publicar un libro sobre la secretaria, y el porqué es tan mala opción para la presidencia.  Las cosas negativas sobre Hillary, como le llaman ustedes, los que la apoyan, son precisamente la historia de Hillary, y es triste que el país entero se vea engatusado por el poder del dinero masivo y un sistema electoral tremendamente corrupto, del cual el lado demócrata y el republicano son dos caras de una misma moneda.

Someone responded to me recently that if all the things that are posted about Hillary Clinton were true, she would be in jail already.  But what I say to that is, she is a multi-millionaire; the judicial system (flawed as most everything else in the Empire) favors them over the rest of us.  And Hillary has long sold her favors for very expensive speeches and corporate donations. Her mentor, his Royal Darkness Henry Kissinger, has now been adjudged a war criminal and cannot land in certain countries, but we in the US are clueless, and he is still getting invited to speak at events. Perhaps if the Hillary supporters studied the history of this country, you might learn more about these issues. Until you do that, please do not post inanities and ill-founded opinions.  As I have told many students over years of teaching:  Go back to your books, do your homework, study, damn it!

Alguien me dijo hace poco que si todas las cosas que se escriben sobre Hillary Clinton fueran verdad, ya estaría presa.  Pero a eso yo le respondo que ella es multimillonaria; el sistema judicial (deficiente como todo lo demás en el Imperio) los favorece a ellos sobre el resto de nosotros.  Y Hillary ya lleva muchos años vendiendo sus favores por discursos y donativos corporativos carísimos.  Su mentor, el Señor de la Oscuridad Henry Kissinger, ha sido adjudicado criminal de guerra, y hay muchos países donde no puede aterrizar, pero en los EE.UU.  andamos perdidos sobre estas cosas y lo siguen invitando a hablar en eventos.  Tal vez si aquellos de ustedes que apoyan a Hillary estudiaran la historia del país, aprenderían algo sobre estos temas.  Y hasta que hagan esto, por favor no publiquen estupideces y opiniones sin fundamento.  Como le he dicho a muchos estudiantes durante años de enseñanza:  ¡Regresen a sus libros, hagan la tarea, y estudien, coño!
